What a lovely surprise in the mailbox this morning - Bachelorette Parties made the front page of the "Real Deal" section of my local newspaper, The Ottawa Citizen. The article "The ultimate bachelorette bash" offers three interesting ideas for what to do with your bride-to-bes:
1. Head to your local art school with your group of girls to paint a male nude! Seriously, Syn Studio in Montreal offers a session including the model, instructors and champagne and strawberries of course. Sounds different, but it could be fun (and a definite giggle-fest!)
2. Invite a tarot card reader to your venue, where she can perform 5-20 minute readings (which work well for larger groups) - find out what all of your destinies hold!
3. Before you hit the dance floors at the bars, get your body ready at a pole-dancing studio class. You can bring the whole gang to Cherry Blossom Pole Dancing studio in Ottawa or bring the party home with 3Sixty Dance and Fitness (who bring the pole and instructors to your venue!) Apparently, it's not as easy as it looks, so you'll all be feeling the effects of a great workout the next day...and with all the calories you're burned, why not have an extra martini that night!
